Soul Revivers - 'Come Back To Me (feat. Johnny Clarke)' 7" Vinyl

Following their acclaimed new album ‘Holding It Down’, Soul Revivers release a limited 7” single on Acid Jazz, featuring the great Johnny Clarke. Premiered by Gilles Peterson, who described it as ‘a great new version’, Soul Revivers give their own treatment to Clarke’s classic song ‘Come Back To Me’.

‘Come Back To Me’ was written by Clarke in 1985, who was 30 at the time, and first recorded by Mad Professor for Johnny’s ‘Give Thanks’ album released on his Ariwa label. Four decades later as a 70-year-old veteran, Johnny has revisited the song with Soul Revivers, his voice now having a richness from being one of reggae most loved singers, who has recorded and performed continually since 1972.

Soul Revivers are David Hill and Nick Manasseh, who present their vision and worldview of West London’s reggae heritage, collaborating with Jamaican legends alongside some of London’s finest musical talent.
