Billy Valentine and The Universal Truth

‘Home Is Where The Hatred Is’
OUT NOW – LISTEN/DOWNLOAD HERE

The new single from Billy Valentine & The Universal Truth is out now: a sublime cover of Gil Scott-Heron’s  ‘Home Is Where The Hatred Is’, originally on Heron’s 1971 Flying Dutchman album ‘Pieces Of A Man’.

Having premiered on New Years Day, it has now moved to immediate A-list rotation on JazzFM.

It follows previous single ‘We The People Who Are Darker Than Blue’, which marked the introduction to this project – the first new music on Flying Dutchman since the ’70s, in a joint-release with Acid Jazz Records.

‘Home Is Where The Hatred Is’ is part of a wider collaboration between Billy Valentine and producer Bob Thiele Jr., recorded at the historic EastWest Studios (formally United Western Recorders) in LA, featuring a stellar cast of session musicians, including Jeff Parker, Larry Goldings, Pino Paladino, James Gadson and Joel Ross. It is as sonically stunning as it is moving. Listen now.
