When he first warmed up for Wendy May at her famous Locomotion nights of the early ’90′s, Andy Lewis had no idea that he was embarking on a career that would see him helping to create the Camden Brit-Pop scene, travelling round the country as Blur’s support DJ on their “Parklife” tour, breaking bar takings records with Pimlico, visiting Japan with Spearmint, writing songs and recording with artists as diverse as Keni Burke, Reg King, Andy Ellison and Kevin Rowland, having a hit single collaborating with Paul Weller and since 2008 being his bass player. Along the way he’s released two full albums, a mini-album and a brace of singles for Acid Jazz Records, and will be releasing his third full-length album “South Herts Symphony” later this year. With a great band backing him up, Andy has at last ventured out of the studio and will be taking his eclectic and eccentric musical ideas out on the road and to a venue near you sometime soon.
